Congratulations to everyone accepted to the “Open Call” juried show.
Thank you for the overwhelming response. Entrants displayed a great quality of work and a vast range of style. Rob Van Petten and I reviewed the work many, many times and made some difficult decisions.
Accepted artists will receive an email regarding delivery of work.
Our review criteria in order of importance:
- Does the image communicate the artist’s unique vision?
- Does the image express emotion?
- Does the subject matter (content and composition) stand out?
- Did the artist control the quality of light?
- Did the artist exhibit technical control in image capture and post-processing?
- Was the quality of the artist’s work consistent across all submissions?
- Was the work created within the last 3 years?
- Did the artist follow the submission guidelines?
For those of you whose work was not accepted please know that every image was given careful consideration and that the final selection was not easy. We appreciated seeing every image that was entered. And given the success of this show, I plan to host another juried show in October 2015. I will send details in the near future.
